AIDS is most advanced stage of HIV infection. Once HIV infection develops into AIDS infection and cause cancer pose a greater risk. AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome ;Acquired means you can get infected with it; Immune Deficiency means a weakness in the body’s system that fights diseases. Syndrome means a group of health problems that make up a disease.
Aids is a virus that attacks immune cells
Aids is a chronic, potentially life threatening condition caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) .HIV is a virus that attacks immune cells called CD4 cells, which are type of T cell. They are white blood cells that moves around the body, detecting faults and anomalies in cells as well as infections. When HIV targets and infiltrates these cells, it reduces the body’s ability to combat other diseases. The early symptoms of HIV infection may include: fever, chills, joint pain, muscle aches , sore throat , sweats. Particularly at night , enlarged glands, a red rash, tiredness , unintentional weight loss , thrush. However, around 80 percent of people may develop a set of flu-like symptoms know as acute retroviral around 2-6 weeks after virus enters the body.
HIV might last 3-6 months. Nearly, 100, 000 people in Pakistan living with HIV/ AIDS . A woman living with HIV who is pregnant or has recently given birth might transfer the disease to her child during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding.

Do not use syringes and needles, blood must be used after proper screening for HIV, do not share toothbrushes, blades and towels with others, special care to be taken at barber’s shop or hair cutting salons, beauty salons. Surgical instruments must be sterilized , Aids is primarily a sexually transmitted diseases refrain from immoral sexual activities.HIV is treated by antiretroviral therapy (ART).It is not cure but control the virus so that the patient can live longer.
